Sonya Hook is the Regulatory Compliance Specialist for Mars New Zealand. During her 15-year involvement in the petfood industry of New Zealand and South Africa, she also acquired other skills; recipe and product development, petfood processing validation and implementation, packaging design & implementation as well as thermal process design and implementation.

Sonya is active in the New Zealand Pet Food Association, in particular the Import Subcommittee and collaboration with ACVM on behalf of the Petfood Industry. She is also active in the New Zealand Food and Grocery Council, in particular food regulations and sustainability.

Outside of work her 3 cats and 3 dogs ensure constant action and entertainment.
